Hi. My name is Penny Hart and I work with Greg.

Greg has been missing for a while now. I've been asked not to say exactly how long.

Greg was our intern. He was enthusiastic. He asked a lot of questions. Some people found that annoying. I did not find it annoying. Most of the time.

The money will go toward search efforts, or a memorial, depending on how things go. We're keeping our options open.

If you have seen Greg, please contact the station. Do not contact the police directly as this has caused complications in the past.

Any amount helps. Though based on current progress, perhaps not.

— Penny

Week 14

No update this week. The search continues. Thank you to our two donors. You know who you are.

Week 11

We received a third donation briefly but it was retracted. We are back to two. Thank you anyway.

Week 9

Someone left a voicemail at the station that may have been Greg. The voicemail was corrupted. We are looking into it.

Week 7

The title of this campaign has been updated. The previous titles were misleading. This one is accurate as of today.

Week 5

Hal has asked me to clarify that Greg's absence does not affect our coverage quality. I have been asked to include this.

Week 3

We found Greg's press badge in the break room. It was face down. We have not touched it.

Week 1

Greg has been missing for a short time and we expect him back soon. Please share.

The Community Hall roof has needed replacing since the 2019 storm. We've patched it three times. We're told it cannot be patched a fourth time.

The Chamber has approved partial funding but the remainder needs to come from the community.

Note: contractors will need to remove and inspect the original 1974 roofing material before installation. The Chamber has requested this material be retained for storage rather than disposed of. We don't ask why anymore.

Every donation gets us closer to a dry meeting room — and an agenda that doesn't have to be read by flashlight.

Week 8

Roofing work begins next month, weather permitting. Thank you for your support.

Week 5

Material has been collected by Chamber representatives and is being stored at an undisclosed location pending further review.

Week 2

Inspection complete. Contractor declined to comment further on the condition of the original material.

Story

After 31 years coaching Harlan's Creek football, Coach Briggs is retiring at the end of this season. He's coached three generations of this town's kids and asked for nothing more than the away-game per diem.

The Booster Club wants to send him off properly — and yes, the fund has already exceeded its goal, which tells you everything about how this town feels about him.

Surplus funds will go toward a proper retirement gift. Coach Briggs has specifically requested the surplus NOT be spent on "anything to do with the woods behind the practice field," which we are respecting without further comment.

Week 3

Coach Briggs has seen this page. He has asked us to stop adding updates.

Week 2

Due to popular request, the surplus is going toward an engraved bench. Not the woods. The bench.

Week 1

We've hit our goal! Thank you, Harlan's Creek.

The Harlan's Creek Veterinary Clinic provides discounted and free care to local pet owners who can't otherwise afford it.

Recently we've seen an unusual increase in animals presenting with what we're calling "stress-related disorientation" — mostly dogs, mostly from the north bank area, mostly resolving within 48 hours of treatment. We don't have a clear cause.

Donations go directly toward diagnostic equipment and continued care for affected animals and their families. Every dollar helps a local pet, no questions asked. Mostly.

Week 6

We are no longer accepting walk-ins from the north bank trail area outside business hours. Please call ahead.

Week 4

New diagnostic equipment has arrived. We are now able to rule out several causes we previously could not.

Week 2

Thank you for your support — we've treated 11 cases this month alone, up from our usual 2-3.
